E-Learning Kurs "The Music of South India"


Im Oktober beginnt die Neuausgabe des E-Learning Kurses "The Music of South India" von Ludwig Pesch. Die Kurssprache ist Englisch mit voller Unterstützung für deutschsprachige TeilnehmerInnen; und inzwischen auch auf Niederländisch. Es gibt bei Bedarf auch spezielle Wochenendseminare und Workshops.

Im Mittelpunkt steht die Musik Südindiens, ihre Traditionen und ihre Rolle in der Weltmusik. Der Kurs wendet sich an Musiker, Komponisten, Studenten und alle, die once want to actively deal with the Indian music. Also, visual artists, dancers and teachers will find ideas for interdisciplinary work offered.

Sangitha Kohs was born in Austria. Her mother is from Singapore and her father is Austrian. She learns from her 7th Bharatanatyam by Dr. Radha Anjali years in Vienna. She spent three Studienauftenhalte in India, where she studied at the School of Bharata Choodamani Sri Adyar K. Lakshman and Jayanti Subramaniam. In an eight-month stay in Australia, she took lessons with Dr. Jeya. Sangitha has graduated in May and will soon begin her university studies in England. Through her love of Bharatanatyam dance, she remains connected to their Indian roots.

Arangetram literally means entering the stage und ist das Solo-Debut einer Tanzschülerin. Die Darbietung des kompletten Bharatanatyam-Repertoires ist traditioneller Abschluss der Grundausbildung, die Bühnenreife.
